Effective January 1, 2011

Licensed Public Accountants are required by law to complete a minimum of 120 hours of continuing education in a three year renewal period in order to maintain a current license to practice. These classes and/or courses must include 8 hours of Financial Statement presentation/SSARS and 4 hours of ethics in the three year period. The remaining 108 hours will be in accounting, taxation, and other technical professional skills to continually update the LPA’s knowledge and skills.
